Jamshedpur, March 29: Centre for Excellence (CFE) on Thursday organised the fifth edition of its Heritage Walk that witnessed participation of 54 students.
Students from various schools like Prem Jyoti Prangan, Loyola Hindi Medium School, MS Andhra Bhakta Ram Mandiram, DBMS Lilliput School and Tarapore Balika Vidyalaya participated in the Heritage Walk.
The walk mainly covered the northern town of Jamshedpur, including the Armoury Ground, P N Bose Memorial, Director�s Bungalow, United Club, and St. George�s Church. The Heritage Walk, which saw participation from class VI to class X students, commenced from Sir Dorabji Tata Park and ended at Centre for Excellence.
Guest Speakers during the event were Dickey Mody, Ex-Tata Steel employee, Ronald D�Costa, Hotelier and Social worker, Lalita Sareen, Educationist and Reverend Deepak Anil Jojo Parish Priest, St. George�s Church. They spoke about the historical significance of various locations which were covered during the walk, and captivated the participants with interesting narratives.
An open quiz was also conducted at the end of the walk.
It was an eventful day for the school students as they got to know about the lesser known facts of heritage buildings, parks and places of Jamshedpur.
