Jamshedpur: After completing their final examinations, students of Loyola School set out on an exciting trekking expedition to Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary on February 20 and 21. The school organised the two-day programme for students of Classes VI to XI to help them unwind and reconnect with nature.
Over 500 Students Take Part
On February 20, around 260 students from Classes VI and VII participated in the trek. The following day, 240 students from Classes VIII, IX and XI joined the adventure.
Students began their trek at 8:30 a.m. from the base of the hill and reached the guest house at the top by 11:00 a.m. After lunch and a short rest, they descended safely and returned to the school campus by 4:30 p.m.
Focus on Fitness, Discipline and Team Spirit
Dale Sir led the expedition along with senior school sports teachers. The team ensured strict safety measures throughout the programme.
The trek helped students improve their physical fitness and build endurance. It also encouraged discipline, teamwork and perseverance. Many students described the experience as both refreshing and motivating.
Support from Forest Officials
The school thanked Shaba Alam, IFO, and the entire Dalma staff for their cooperation and support. Their guidance ensured the smooth and safe conduct of the event.
The post-exam trek gave students a much-needed break from academics. It also strengthened their bond with nature and inspired a spirit of adventure.
