Ranchi, Aug. 30: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma has directed all the banks to complete Aadhaar Seeding work by 15th September. Directing the bank officials she said that all accounts under social security, Jeevan Jyoti Beema, MGNREGA and PMJDY should be connected with Aadhar Seeding cent percent.
She said to speed up prioritizing seeding work in order to implement schemes of center and state. A special work plan should be made to implement this. She directed the DDCs to give the collected aadhar card and bank accounts to concerned banks with all testimonials.
If a bank requires data operator, it should be provided with that. On not achieving the target of aadhar seeding by the Gramin Banks, she directed Gramin Bank officials to meet with District Coordination Officers and enlist the factors responsible.
Mrs. Verma said that the districts with slacking Aadhaar seeding should be monitored, dark zone list district wise should be prepared and work should be sped.
She directed to speed up seeding work in Pakur, Sahibganj and Kolhan division. Apart from that, she said that the people who have been opened accounts under PMJDY have to be provided Rupay cards also.
Hence, a work plan should be made on how the card will be activated after seeding. The Institutional Finance Secretary said that 57 lac, 98 thousand and 733 Rupay cards have been activated against targeted 71 lac, 94 thousand and 271 Rupay cards. All the cards have to be activated within 90 days to benefit the account holders. 50 lac accounts have been connected with Aadhaar .
During the meeting, the CS said that capable SHGs should be focused to provide loan under MUDRA Yojana. A special drive should be run for this and competent SHGs should be enlisted according to their estimation. She also laid stress on making an SOP.
Institutional Finance Secretary Satyendra Singh, MGNREGA Commissioner Siddharth Tripathi and bank officers were present on this occasion.
