43 IDTR Jamshedpur students land Maruti Suzuki jobs

Jamshedpur, Feb 15: In an initiative to bolster the career prospects of students, Maruti Suzuki organized a thriving campus drive at the Indo-Danish Tool Room (IDTR) in Jamshedpur. The event targeted graduates from various disciplines, including four-year Tool and Die Making, three-year Mechatronics, and three-year Production Engineering programs.

Underscoring the consistent high performance of IDTR students, Maruti Suzuki extended lucrative job offers to 43 graduating students from both IDTR Jamshedpur and TRTC Patna, with an attractive package of Rs 5 lakh 20 thousand. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Maruti Suzuki has chosen IDTR Jamshedpur for its campus recruitment.

The compensation details include Rs 5 lakh twenty thousand for four-year diploma holders and Rs 4 lakh five thousand for three-year diploma holders. Out of the total recruits, 25 students with four-year diplomas received the higher package, while 18 students with three-year diplomas were offered Rs 4 lakh 5 thousand.

Sumit Singh, the placement in-charge at IDTR, shared insights into the placement process, revealing that it traditionally kicks off in July after the conclusion of the academic session. However, due to company requests, the process commenced earlier this time. Singh also proudly announced that 28 students from IDTR Jamshedpur secured positions at Maruti Suzuki. Among them, 16 specialized in Tool and Die Making, 12 in Mechatronics, while TRTC Patna contributed 9 students from Tool and Die Making, 9 from Mechatronics, and 2 from Production Engineering. Notably, this batch represents the inaugural group of three-year Mechatronics program graduates at IDTR Jamshedpur.

Looking ahead, Singh disclosed that other prominent companies will be scheduled for campus drives in the near future, further opening up opportunities for the students at IDTR Jamshedpur.
