Jamshedpur, May 3: A 40 year-old man, Mohammad Irshad, was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants near Tamolia More late Tuesday evening.
The victim, critically injured in the incident, was taken to MGM Hospital where he died during treatment, police said.
Cops suspect enmity angle in the murder. Irshad was recently released from jail on bail.
According to sources, Irshad went out of his house in the afternoon and did not return thereafter. Around 4.30 pm, police informed his family members about the incident.
The officer in-charge of Azadnagar police station Naresh Prasad Sinha said Irshad was brutally assaulted. Deep injury marks were found on his abdomen and other body parts. They said they were looking for clues to make a headway into the case.
The deceased is survived by three children and his wife Rukhsar, sources said.
