JSA Conducts Fitness Assessment for 60 Football Referees at JRD Tata Sports Complex

Jamshedpur, June 7: The Jamshedpur Sporting Association (JSA) conducted a fitness test for football referees on Sunday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex ahead of the upcoming JSA Football League. A total of 60 referees participated in the test, out of which 32 successfully qualified.

The fitness assessment was organized under the supervision of the JSA Referees’ Committee and included two major categories — a 40-meter sprint test and a high-intensity interval test. Separate standards were fixed for male and female referees.

Male referees were required to complete a 40-meter sprint within 6.20 seconds and complete at least six successful runs. In the interval test, they had to complete 10 laps of a 400-meter track with a 75-meter run in 15 seconds followed by a 25-meter walk in 22 seconds.

Female referees had to complete the 40-meter sprint within 6.40 seconds with a minimum of six successful runs. Their interval test included a 75-meter run in 17 seconds and a 25-meter walk in 24 seconds over 10 laps.

Referees who passed the test will officiate matches during the JSA Football League. JSA Secretary V. Ramakrishna, Referees’ Committee Chairman Surendra Bahadur Singh, FIFA referee Naveen Sundi, S.K. Dey, Madhusudan Mahto, Miller Raut, Sagar Mukhi, Firoz Khan, and Hassan Imam Malik were present during the event.
