3 Jamshedpur students selected for KVPY fellowship

Jamshedpur, April 3: Narayana IIT Academy, the preferred institute for engineering and medical entrance exam, has this year ably guided its 3 students to be eligible for the ‘Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana’ (KVPY) fellowship 2016-17.

Shyam Bhusan, director of Narayana IIT Academy, Jamshedpur centre said, three students of the academy, Chirag Agarwal (AIR-989) of DAV Bistupur, Siddhant Kabra (AIR-999) Rajendra Vidyalaya and Rishabh Sanjay (AIR-1240) of Little Flower School (LFS) have made the city and their school proud.

Mr Bhusan wished good luck to the students and hoped that these students would top Jamshedpur in the JEE Mains and Advanced exams 2017.

The ‘Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana’ (KVPY) is a programme started in 1999 by the department of science and technology (DST), government of India to encourage students who are studying basic sciences to take up research career in science.

The aim of this programme is to identify and encourage talented and motivated students to pursue career in research, thus promoting the spirit of scientific inquiry.

This programme aims to assist the students to realize their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is groomed for research and development in the country.
