Jamshedpur, May 18: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has declared the final NIFT result 2022 for all UG and PG programmes. Jamshedpur students have come out with flying colours as three girls from the city are ranked in top 100 in the country.
Mamali Mishra (Rank 11), Anvesha Patra (Rank 63) and Lehar Jain (Rank 76) of Academy of Fashion and Art (AFA), Sakchi have bagged a place in top 100.
AFA director Nikhil Singh informed that the result this year has been better compared to previous year as 19 of the 25 students who appeared for the exam have cleared NIFT exam. Mamali Mishra of Jamshedpur has scored AIR(All India Rank) 11 followed by Anvesha Patra AIR 63 and Lehar Jain AIR 76. Singh said that due to COVID-19 pandemic majority of classes were held virtually.
There are about 2500 seats in 16 NIFT’s Bachelor of Design courses across the country. Admission is held through counselling. Leading NIFT institutes are located in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

The NIFT admission 2022 final merit list has been prepared by giving weightage to the CAT, GAT, and situation test (GD/ PI). Previously, the authority announced the NIFT exam result for the written test on March 9, 2022.
