Jamshedpur: Demand for Ranchi-Jaipur direct flight service

Jamshedpur, May 18: Ashok Bhalotia, the Senior Provincial Vice President of Jharkhand Rajya Marwari Sammelan, has demanded direct air service between Ranchi and Jaipur vide a letter to Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

The letter sent to the Union Minister sent on Wednesday, mentioned that many traders in Jharkhand had direct business connections many cities in Rajasthan including Jaipur, Chamu, Kishangarh, Bikaner and Udaipur. The letter also contended that families of most of Marwaris still resided in different areas of Rajasthan. Rajasthan is known as Tapobhumi from a religious point of view, whether it be Khatushyam Ji, Salasar Balaji, Jhunjhunu Dham, Mehandipur Balaji, Jeen Mata, Shakambhari Mata or other religious places that are visited by large number of Marwari community members every month for Darshan, Sawmani Prasad, Manyata and Jat-Jarula.

According to Ashok Bhalotia, despite all these religious occasions when people visit these holy places there was no direct air service from Jharkhand to Jaipur, because Ranchi was the capital of Jharkhand and such direct flights between Ranchi and Jaipur would be convenient for everyone.

“For this reason, on behalf of the Marwari community, you are requested to provide the facility of Ranchi-Jaipur direct air services. This will directly benefit the people and at the same time there will be a positive effect in the revenue of the country. The people of Jharkhand have been demanding this service since many years. Many MPs, MLAs, social and business organizations have also urged for commencing Ranchi-Jaipur direct flights. Yoy are requested to facilitate such flight services at the earliest,” mentioned Ashok Bhalotia in his letter to the Union Civil Aviation Minister.
