Jamshedpur, May 3: A 26 year-old police man from Police Training Centre, Jadugora, committed suicide by lying on the railway track under Galudih police station area on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Kailash Chandra Mahato.
Police recovered the beheaded body of the deceased from the tracks in the morning. The head was recovered from Swarnarekha river, police said.
Cops said the jawan had kept his head on the tracks in order to kill himself. Local villagers informed Galudih police and RPF about the incident.
