Jamshedpur: Hut near Sakchi thana gutted in fire

Jamshedpur, December 31: A thatched hut-like house adjacent to the Sakchi police station premises caught fire.

The fire also engulfed the vehicles seized in the police station premises. After receiving the information, the fire brigades of Tata Steel and the state government reached the spot and brought the fire under control after about an hour of effort.

 Although the hut was completely gutted in the fire, a seized car kept in the police station premises was also burnt. Many other vehicles have also been damaged. According to the information received, Khalid, who was into bird business, used to keep his birds in the hut. The fire broke out due to short circuit in the electric wire in the hut and soon it spread throughout the hut. There were no birds kept in the hut at the time of the incident. Khalid told that the hut was completely burnt in the fire and a police station car was also burnt to ashes.
