Chandil: Twenty persons were injured in a road accident on the National Highway 33 under Chowka police station area on Tuesday when a vehicle carrying members of a marriage party turned turtle.
The incident occurred early morning when the vehicle, a Tata Magic, overturned after entering into a crater. The passengers onboard were severely injured in the incident.
The vehicle was on its way from Rargaon to Chhotalakha when the driver failed to avoid a big crater in the middle of the road near Jhavri village.
The injured persons were taken to Chandil community health centre by local villagers.
Those injured were identified as Mohan Lal Pramanik, Sonuram Pramanik, Jai Govind Pramanik, Dubraj Kalindi, Lalu Kalindi, Ramesh Kalindi and Dabu Kalindi.
