2 Jamshedpur players selected for national sub junior badminton camp

Jamshedpur, May 27: Badminton Association of India is going to conduct a national sub junior (U-13,U-15) badminton camp at Bangalore from 1st June to 21st June 2018.

This is great opportunity for the players of the state to show their prowess.
Three player from Jharkhand will be attending the camp. Aadhya Singh (Girls under 13) from Jamshedpur, Jay Chaterjee (Boys under 15) from Hazaribag and Raunak Negi (Boys under 13) also from Jamshedpur have been selected for the camp.

Aadhya Singh has played nationals in girls’ singles under -13, girls singles under- 17 and girls singles under- 19 categories had reached her best ranking of 9 in girls singles under 13 category this year in India.

Last year, Aadhya was winner in the singles under -13 championship and was the runner-up in the under-19 category.

Jay Chatterjee has played national in boys singles under 13 and boys singles under 15 category.

He was crowned the singles under 13 state champion and was the runner-up in the under 15 and has been the winner in boys doubles under 13 category.
Raunak Negi reached best rank of 14in boys singles under 13 category this year in India.

He has played national level in boys under 13 and was state level runner up in under-13. He was also the state level boys double under 13 runner up.
This was informed through a press communique issued by K Prabhakar Rao, secretary, Jharkhand Badminton Association and joint secretary, Badminton Association of India.
