Seraikela: At least 40 persons were injured in a road accident near Sursidih village under Kuchai PS on Sunday. The mishap occurred around 9 am when a tractor carrying a marriage party members turned turtle.
Five of the victims including two childen were seriously injured. They were taken first to Seraikela Sadar Hospital and subsequently to Sadar Hospital Jamshedpur.
Sources said the tractor overturned near a sharp turn on its return trip. The driver reportedly could not control the vehicle as it was overloaded. Most of the victims are from Murumdih village of Kuchai, sources said.
