Jamshedpur, November 15. Sonari police has arrested two people with fire arms.
The arrested accused include Pradeep Gorai, a resident of Sonari Nirmalnagar Vilas Basti, and Viren Sardar, a resident of Sonari Janta Basti.
A country-made pistol, two live cartridges and a mobile have been recovered from them. In this regard, CCR DSP Animesh Gupta gave information in a press conference held at Sonari police station.
He told that the police had received secret information that a person of criminal character was roaming around with weapons and was about to commit some major incident.
Based on this information, a team was formed and a raid was conducted and Pradeep Gorai was arrested. A weapon was recovered from him. During interrogation, he told that Viren had given him the weapon. Now investigation is being done as to where Viren got the weapon from.
DSP told that Pradeep Gorai has a criminal history.
