Jamshedpur, Oct. 5 : Akshay Rana, son of Luvkush Rana, a resident of Apna Basera at Shankosai, was rescued after being kidnapped for ransom by his only friend Suraj Rawat. After kidnapping, Suraj demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakhs through phone.
Police have rescued the child by arresting Suraj and his wife within 24 hours on the basis of the tower location with the help of Khaira Police of Jamui. At present, he is safe with Jamui’s Khaira police.
Suraj is originally hails from Khaira, Jumai. After getting the information, the Jamui Police was contacted on the phone by Mango Police Station Officer-in-Charge Arun Kumar Mahta. The child and the accused were identified by sending pictures of child and Suraj through Whatsapp. After which parents of the child have left for bringing back the child.
In relation to the incident, child�s uncle Manish Prasad told that Luvkush had started business of Dosa. He started this business only during Durga Puja. To help this business, he called his friend Suraj Rawat.
On Wednesday evening, the child suddenly disappeared from the house. After that, when the baby was not found, the child’s father, Luvkush, started searching for child.
The family suspected that Suraj had escaped after kidnapping Akshay. On Wednesday night late Luvkush gave this information to the police. After that, BJP leader Vikas Singh, Rajesh Sav and many people of the town reached Mango police station and gave full information about the incident to the station officer. After which the police started probe.
