Jamshedpur: District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal presided over a meeting at Jamshedpur Auditorium to review land acquisition, pending compensation payments, and survey work for critical development projects, including highway construction and railway initiatives. The District Land Acquisition Officer reported 14 ongoing projects under the Road Construction Department, with seven in the compensation distribution phase and seven in the land acquisition process. Mittal directed officials to expedite surveys and ensure compensation payments to landowners, emphasizing the importance of avoiding delays in state and central government projects. Key projects discussed included road widening, bridge construction over the Mango Swarnarekha River, Dhalbhumgarh airport approach road, and NH-33 widening. Officials were instructed to finalize genealogy, land verification, and ownership reports while expediting consultations with Gram and Ward Sabhas. Key attendees included SDM Shatabdi Majumdar, ADC Bhagirath Prasad, District Land Acquisition Officer Gunjan Sinha, and representatives from the Road Construction Department and NHAI.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the need for efficient resolution of land acquisition challenges to ensure timely project implementation.
