15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship
Jamshedpur, Aug 5: Team Hockey Jharkhand delivered a spectacular performance in the quarter-final of the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship 2025, defeating Hockey Chandigarh with an emphatic scoreline of 13-0. The team has now secured a well-deserved spot in the semi-finals, showcasing dominance, precision, and teamwork on the national stage.
Leading from the front, Cadet Sabian Kiro was awarded the Player of the Match for his outstanding hat-trick, exhibiting brilliant control and finishing throughout the game. Cadet Tintus Hemrom put on a goal-scoring masterclass, netting five goals, further reinforcing Jharkhand’s attacking prowess.
The scoring spree continued with contributions from: Patras Hassa – 2 Goals, Anish Dungdung – 1 Goal, Ganga Topno – 1 Goal, Ashish Tani Purti – 1 Goal.
Notably, the Jharkhand squad includes 14 cadets from the Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA)- Jamshedpur, a testimony to the academy’s impactful hockey player development and consistent pipeline of top-tier talent.
Hockey Jharkhand team is being led by NTHA Head Coach Manish Kumar and NTHA Coach Hardik Bhonsle, who is managing the squad with strategic precision and operational expertise.
With such a commanding performance, Hockey Jharkhand has firmly positioned itself in the Semi-Finals in this year’s championship. The team looks forward to carrying this momentum into the semi-finals as they inch closer to the coveted national title.
