139 units of blood collected at ‘camp organized by TRFLA

Jamshedpur, April 20: Employees and associates of TRF Limited responded in large number, in spite of heat wave on Wednesday, to make ‘Navjeevan,’ the blood donation camp organized by TRF Ladies Association (TRFLA) an overwhelming success.

The TRFLA organizes two blood donation camps in Jamshedpur with the help of Blood Bank of Jamshedpur and Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association of Jamshedpur. The association rescheduled date of the camp and held it now in view of the need to cope with surge in demand for blood in summer season.

Radhika Reddy, chairperson, TRFLA, welcomed the employees of the company for participating in the camp and hoped that they would respond even more strongly when the association holds its next blood donation camp, sometime later in the year.

Rakeshwar Pandey lauded the efforts of the TRFLA for consistently conducting the camp and for carrying forward the company’s corporate social responsibility program.

PS Reddy, MD, said that opportunities for increasing the number of units being collected through the camp and similar camps should be organized at the company’s project sites.

He hoped that the rescheduling would help the blood bank by meeting the increase in demand for blood during this time.
