Distinguished achievers honoured as two-day celebration strengthens lifelong bonds

Jamshedpur, Dec 6: XLRI Jamshedpur this evening resonated with emotion and pride as 136 alumni from across generations returned to campus for Homecoming 2025.
The two-day celebration was a vibrant blend of nostalgia, knowledge-sharing and cultural expression, rekindling bonds between past and present XLRIans.

Returning alumni explored the rejuvenated campus, reconnected with old friends, and engaged with current students through panel discussions, performances in music, dance and theatre, and lively informal sessions.
The highlight of the weekend was the prestigious felicitation ceremony at the Tata Auditorium, where nine distinguished alumni were honoured for excellence in their fields.

Director Fr S George praised the awardees, stating, “Our alumni are the true brand ambassadors of XLRI.”
Alumni Association President Ranaveer Sinha added a celebratory touch, calling the ceremony “ The Oscars for XLRIans.”

In an inspiring acceptance speech, Srinivas Reddy Vudumula reflected on XLRI’s lasting impact: “XLRI’s curriculum is uniquely designed not just to create excellent managers but to shape better human beings. While my engineering education gave me technical skills, my two years at XLRI—with its deep emphasis on ethics and the greater good—completely transformed my life and career.”
