Jamshedpur, May 8: Sonari Community Center in Jamshedpur became a hub of empowerment and skill-building as the Jharkhand Goju Ryu Karate Do Association organized a two-day training camp for karate enthusiasts. With over 100 players in attendance, the event aimed to hone martial arts skills among the youth.
A notable highlight of the camp was the integration of a voter awareness campaign, targeting participants above the age of 18. Emphasizing the importance of voting rights, the young adults were educated about their civic duty to participate in the democratic process.
Distinguished guests, including District Sports Officer Anivesh Tripathi, CDPO Durgesh Nandani, and District Co-operative Officer Asha Topo, graced the occasion, underscoring the significance of such initiatives in community development.

Particular attention was given to the empowerment of girls, who received special training in self-defense, reflecting the camp’s commitment to gender equality and safety awareness.
Chief Instructor Kyoshi L Nageshwar Rao imparted valuable knowledge and skills to the participants, guiding them through the intricacies of the sport. The efforts of DSP S Vardhan, Akram Raza, former Tata Workers Union President R Ravi Prasad, and Vice President Sanjay Kumar Singh were recognized as they honored the children with certificates, acknowledging their dedication and hard work.

The event also saw the participation Ghatshila Sub-divisional Officer Unika Sharma, Executive Officers Aman Kumar and Satyendra Kumar, as well as martial arts experts Shihan Sarju Ram, Sensei Neeraj Kumar, and Coach Priyabrata Dutta, further elevating the significance of the occasion.
The two-day camp not only provided a platform for skill development but also fostered a sense of civic responsibility and community engagement among the youth of Jamshedpur, paving the way for a brighter and more empowered future.
