10-years jail for five accused in Sonari robbery case

Jamshedpur, Nov 29: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajendra Kumar Sinha of Jamshedpur Behavioral Court, sentenced imprisonment of 10 years and a fine of five thousand rupees each in the robbery case in Sonari. Ganesh Karmakar of Sonari Nirmalnagar B Block, Akash Karmakar of Nirmal Nagar Domuhani, Babu Lodhi of Sonari B Block Nehru Maidan, Gautam Mahali alias Vivek And sentenced Rahul Karmakar of Sakchi Gurdwara Basti has been convicted in the case.   

Rahul has been sentenced to 10 years in the same case and an additional sentence of five thousand rupees due to the recovery of looted goods from Karmakar. On behalf of the prosecution, Additional Public Prosecutor Rajiv Kumar was appearing in the court in the case.

The incident of June 3, 2019. B Kashi Rao and his wife Rajeshwari, resident of B block located at Sonari Nehru Maidan Nashik Water, were taken hostage and beaten up. He was injured by attacking with every weapon. In the testimony in the case, all the witnesses testified in favor of the prosecution. The looted jewelry was recovered near Chito Sonar of Sonari Handi Line.
