1 dead, several children hospitalised after eating mid-day meal in Jharkhand’s Jagannathpur

Chaibasa, March 28: Nearly 20 children fell ill after eating mid-day meal in Nayagaon of Jeteya Panchayat, which falls in Jagannathpur Assembly constituency of West Singhbhum district, where a girl has died.

Some children are being treated at Jagannathpur Community Health Center and Champuwa private hospital.

According to the information received, the children went to the primary school Nayagaon Odia School on Thursday, all the children ate the mid-day meal, after which the children started complaining of stomach ache and vomiting. After this, the children were admitted to the hospital, where doctor Brajmohan Hessa administered saline to the children.

Doctors told that the children have become victims of food poisoning.

Nine children are admitted in the hospital, out of which one has died. The remaining children are out of danger. In this incident, six-year-old Aayushi Gope has died.

The treatment of Dipanjali Gop, Aarohi Gop, Anish Kumar Gop and other children is going on in the hospital. At present, the matter has reached the police. The police has started further action.
