Ranchi, March 28: State finance minister Radhakrishna Kishore met Governor-cum-Chancellor of the universities of Jharkhand state Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Raj Bhavan and thanked the Governor for getting the quality and irregularities of the building construction of Nilamber-Pitambar University of Palamu investigated.
He also requested to take initiative to take immediate action against the guilty officers like registrar-in-charge, dean student welfare, CCDC and proctor, who were found guilty in the investigation.
He requested to get the quality of the building construction of the university and other matters related to irregularities investigated by an independent agency.
Significantly, on February 13, a complaint was made by Radhakrishna Kishore before the Governor regarding the quality of the building construction of Nilamber-Pitambar University of Palamu. The Governor took immediate cognizance of this and constituted a 3-member inquiry committee, which inspected the site and investigated various discrepancies and submitted its report to the Governor. According to the report, the construction work was not found to be in accordance with the approved estimate and the contractor has done low quality work. On the said occasion, the Finance Minister also provided information to the Governor regarding the state’s revenue collection for 2024-25 and the development plans of the state.
