Jamshedpur, Sept. 23: Boys football teams (Class 8 to 12) of Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) participated in the Intra Class knock out ‘Soumen Das Memorial football tournament’.
The tournament was inaugurated at 7am. Earlier, all the teams maintained a minute of silence in memory of ex student Late Soumen Das who was a keen footballer.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of the games teachers Soumitro Sarkar and Mohan Lal. The tournament was kick started by teachers Prem Kumar and Yadunandan Behra.
The Champions Trophy was handed over to Std XI B led by Captain Ayush Prakash and the Runner up trophy was awarded to Std IX A whose team was led by Harsh Vishwakarma.
Best Player of the tournament was awarded to Yuvraj Singh of Std IXB and Promising Goalkeeper award was given to Yash Kumar Sahu of Std VIII.
