Youths of naxal-affected villagers will be trained and provided jobs: CS

Ranchi, April 28: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma on Friday said that the govt of Jharkhand is aware about complete development of naxal affected villages and blocks.

Reviewing the 15 villages of Mahabuang, CS said that work plan has been prepared on 30 points under which people are being trained and made self dependent.

The CS directed all the officers to ensure work on conformed points and women empowerment should be given attention.
‘People should be made aware about it through sakhi mandals and 21 PDS shops should be provided PoS machine and sakhi mandals should be given 4 licenses’, added Raj Bala Verma.

She further said that sakhi mandals will be linked with bank revolving funds and bank linkage and provided with micro finance facilities; 236 sakhi mandals have been given the facilities of revolving funds and bank linkage. Out of 7000 acre agricultural land, 900 acres are uncultivated. The people will be provided seeds, fertilizers and other equipment through ARYA.

CS went on to say that a group of 30 youths will be made and 400 agricultural ponds will be dug. 185 widows and 367 old aged persons have been approved pension. She said that health checkup camps should be conducted in every village through making schedule and health check up camps for the students of Kasturba Gandhi schools should be conducted regularly.

The CS said that after training the youths of naxal belt, the govt. will make them employable. Drop out students should be admitted in Kasturba Gandhi residential schools. She said that 52 girls out of 122 have been admitted in Kasturba Gandhi schools. 34 aanganbadi centers are running presently which will be added with 3 more. School management committees will be made strong by connecting the mukhiya with it.

DGP D. K. Pandey, Home Principal Sec S. K. G. Rahate and district level officers were present in the meeting.
