Jamshedpur, March 16: The body of a 20-year-old youth was found on Thursday morning near P&M Mall in Bistupur. The youth left his house at Bhatia Bustee in Kadma on Wednesday evening.
The police are not able to conclude whether it is a case of road mishap or murder. The body of youth, Roshan, was found lying in the middle of Outer Circle Road close to the mall with the deceased’s Maruti Dzire parked along the road. As there was no mark of external injury except on the face, the case looks murky.
Sources informed that the car was found locked and the wallet, as well as the cellphone of the deceased, were lying inside the four-wheeler.
As the news spread a patrolling party found the body around 1 am today. The police took it to the MGM medical college hospital where the doctor on emergency duty declared it dead.
DSP (Composite Control Room) Animesh Gupta said that the youth was identified by means of a cell phone.
As they reached out to the deceased family members at Kadma they informed that he had been to Crystal Bar in Sakchi and had told his parents that he will be back by 8.00 pm.
The DSP said they got CCTV footage of the bar where Roshan was found drinking alone and he was fully drunk when he stepped out of the bar.
He pointed out that the cause of death could be known only after the autopsy report is made available. But Roshan’s father Birendra Nath Verma claimed his son had been at the Christle Bar along with some of his friends. He suspects that his friends were behind his murder. The police have shifted the body to the MGM medical college mortuary for postmortem.
