Gudabanda: The lifeless body of Doman Mahato (28), a resident of Paharpur in the Mudhakati Panchayat under the jurisdiction of the Gudabanda police station, was found in the forest area between Asanbani and Tentuldanga. The police have taken custody of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
According to Draupadi Mahato, the deceased’s wife, Doman Mahato had visited the Tentuldanga weekly market on Tuesday. However, he did not return home that night, prompting his family to launch a search. On Wednesday morning, they discovered his body on the side of the road in the forest. The body displayed signs of injuries, leading the police to suspect that he may have been struck by an unidentified vehicle that left the scene.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway. The deceased’s wife shared that Doman Mahato worked as a driver and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first child in a few days. Tragically, he passed away before getting the chance to become a father.
