Youths agitate before DMM Library

Jamshedpur: Members of Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Vahini staged dharna before DMM Library at Sakchi to demand its renovation and reopening.

They handed over memorandum to the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal to demand initiative on part of the district administration to run the library on a regular basis and keep it opened on all weekdays.

Kumar Dilip, one of the outfit members, said the facilities available in the library should be improved and academic activities should be organized for readers.

The demand for the construction of a seminar room was also raised by the outfit members. Copies of the memorandum were also given to the special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee.
