Jamshedpur : A teenaged youth was found lying in a pool of blood at Devnagar under Sitaramdera police station area in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The victim was identified as seventeen year old Sunny Karmakar, a resident of New Devnagar. The police said this to be a case of murder and suspect affair with a girl to be the reason behind the act.
The police have recovered the body and sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem having registered a case of murder against unknown assailants on the statement made by the murder victim’s father Mantu Karmakar. Mantu Karmakar said his son was a guard under a construction company.
Officer-in-charge, Sitaramdera police station, Shushil Kumar Chowdhury said to have nab one of the suspects in the case for interrogation.
“We are investigating the incident but we suspect it is an outcome of having an affair with a girl. We have rounded one of the suspects,” said Chowdhury.
The officer-in-charge said that the teen-aged murder victim was also addicted to alcohol and was drunk when he had gone to the construction site for his duty.
According to police, the suspected assailant who is under the police custody leading the police officials to get the rest of the assailants arrested.
