Youth from Karnataka duped

Jamshedpur: In yet another case of cheating a youth from Karnataka was duped of Rs 85,000.

The youth named Chandbasa of Bellari district of Karnataka had responded to an advertisement that promised a brand new Tata Safari under a popular contest �Chera Pahchano- Inam Pao�.

However he did not get the prize while he already shelled out Rs 85,000. The victim lodged a complaint in the office of City SP.

According to Chandbasa an advertisement was appeared on TV in January last wherein the contestants had to indentify the face of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.

The advertisement had promised that the winner of the contest would receive a brand new Tata Safari as prize. Chandbasa responded to the advertisement.

Thereafter he received a phone call that he had won the contest and would have to submit Rs 8500 for vehicle registration.

Thereafter the organizers of the contest ranged him several times for further deposits. Believing the calls as genuine the victim deposited a total Rs 85,000 in parts in public sector bank.

He was then asked to visit Jamshedpur and take possession of the car. When he reached the city he was asked to come at the gates of Tata Motors Telco.

While reaching the company gates he found no one to hand over the car. He realized that he had been duped. Thereafter he reached the City SP office and lodged a complaint in this regard.
