Police fail to arrest chit-fund accused

Jamshedpur: People living in Jadugoda are up in arms against as Police failed to nab Kamal Singh who has absconded after duping the investors of Rs 1800 Crores.

Kamal Singh who used to run a chit-fund company swindled the gullible people promising good returns of the investments made by them.

However the accused fled the area after amassing pocketing Rs 1800 Crores.

What is sad in the episode is that the police could not trace Kamal Singh because of its laxity in investigation when the reports had first surfaced.

The peeved investors under the leadership of District Council member Karunamay Mandal submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner.

In the memorandum the investors stated that Kamal Singh and his brother have duped the investors in the name of his chit-fund company.

A case was registered in this connection with Jadugoda PS on September 25, 2013, but the police are yet to get hold of the accused, they said.

The victims of the chit-fund scam have sought help from the Governor so that the investors get back their investments.
