Youth electrocuted in Baharagora

Jamshedpur: A youth, identified as Ratan Giri, was electrocuted while ploughing his farm in Nekragunji village of Gopalpur panchayat in Barshol police station area, Baharagora, on Sunday.

Sources said the incident occurred when the deceased came in direct contact with a live wire passing through his field. The youth died at the scene.

Later, Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi reached the village and assured to provide compensation to the next of kin of the deceased. He said the dilapidated power cables should be repaired or replaced immediately so that such mishaps do not recur.
