Jamshedpur, Jan 6: The problems faced by residents and the drivers of government run buses in the city due to the non functioning of buses forced the Assembly committee, Jamshedpur East of Indian Youth Congress to take action.
The members of youth congress headed by their President, Fanindra Kumar Singh today submitted a memorandum to District Commissioner, Dr. Amitabh Kaushal and demanded early solution to the problems as most of the bus drivers are now jobless and the commuters who earlier traveled by government buses with low fare are now paying more in private buses on the route.
The members of youth congress submitted a seven pointer demand and said that a government bus stand of Jamshedpur East is in Mango which operated buses for cheap traveling around the city but it is a pity that the operation from the venue has been stopped making life difficult for commuters as well as transport employees, added Singh.
On the occasion Rakesh Sahu, Ashish Mukhi, Nandlal Prasad, Atul Gupta, Surendra Sharma, Sunil Prasad, Devashish, Karan Gorai, Ravi Rao, Shanta Singh along with others were present.
