Jamshedpur: Activists of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Youth Congress Committee put up an agitation before the office of Jharkhand State Electricity Board at Golmuri on Wednesday to demand regular supply of electricity in Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency.
A memorandum was handed over to a JSEB official in this regard. A deadline of 10 days was given to the JSEB authorities to improve power supply scenario.
Leading the agitators, Rakesh Sahu, vice president of the committee, said the residents of various localities of Jamshedpur East constituency area were facing acute power crisis for the last many days.
He also alleged that the electricity bills were often faulty and inflated. The agitators included Samanto, Kamlesh Sao, Sanjay Yadav, Rahul Sharma, Dilip Jha, Surendra Sharma, Savita Devi, Manju Devi and Pinki Devi.
