Jamshedpur, July 23: A delegation of Jharkhand State Youth Congress Committee staged a demonstration before the office of GM, Jharkhand State Electricity Board, in Bistupur to demand uninterrupted power supply in Govindpur, Kadma, Sonari and Mango.
Leading the agitators, Paritosh Singh, general secretary of Jharkhand State Youth Congress Committee, said thousands of people residing in the said areas were reeling under an acute power crisis. Due to frequent power cuts, the residents are spending their days in mere anticipation of improvement in the situation, he said.
Assailing the Raghubar Das government for failing to keep its promises, Singh said it had only promised 24 hours electricity for corporate houses. The common man is getting electricity only for 10 to 13 hours a day, he said.
Among those present during the agitation included Rakesh Sahu, Sanjeev Ranjan, Pawan Tiwary, Beauty Tiwary, Devashish Ghosh and Amit Kumar.
