They forced auto rickshaw drivers to perform the act in the very presence of police officials. Instead of resorting to vandalism, the outfit members harassed auto rickshaw drivers for doing their daily business during the bandh.

Youth Congress members raised slogans against the state government at Shahid Chowk, Sakchi, and moved through Sakchi roundabout where they were arrested.

Among those present on the occasion included Rakesh Sahu, vice president of the committee, along with Mukesh Yadav, Surendra Sharma, Atul Gupta, Vimal Agrawal, Dilip Jha, Kamlesh Sao, Shravan Sao, Shailesh Singh, Manish Gupta and Rohit Sharma.

The bandh was called in protest of the shootout incident in Barkagaon.

Congress members claimed that the government had failed to contain the poor law and order situation as according to them three firing incidents had taken place in the last 55 days.
