Jamshedpur, June 2: The scorching heatwave has prompted the Youth Congress to raise concerns over power cuts and the potential risks associated with 11,000-volt wires hanging precariously above the streets in several areas. Recognizing the danger posed by strong winds that could lead to wire collisions, the East Singhbhum District Youth Congress Committee, led by President Neeraj Singh, submitted a memorandum to the General Manager of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, demanding the immediate removal of these wires and the establishment of a safe distance.
During the submission of the memorandum on Friday, the Youth Congress members apprised the General Manager of the hardships faced by the public due to the scorching heat, emphasizing that power cuts were not appropriate under such circumstances. The Youth Congress workers also voiced slogans against the Electricity Department, expressing their dissatisfaction with the current situation.
Neeraj Singh, the leader of the Youth Congress, stated that if the electricity department fails to address the issue of power cuts, the Youth Congress will be compelled to initiate a protest. Prominent individuals present during the program included Satyam Singh, Rakesh Sahu, Rahul Goswami, Raghu Chandan Pradhan, Vikas Mukhi, Hariram Tudu, Bhavani Singh, Neeraj Sahu, Navneet Mishra, Pragya Kumar, Manmohan Tiwari, Amit Singh, Abhishek Anjan, Anish Singh, Vivek Kumar, Luv Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Rahul Kalindi, Sanjay Kumar, among others.
