Youth Congress meets electricity GM, seeks replacement of poles

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur West Assembly Youth Congress Committee members put up a demonstration before the office of general manager of the electricity department at Bistupur on Wednesday to demand replacement of dilapidated electric poles in Mango.

In a memorandum given to the GM, the Youth Congress leaders said electric poles were in shambles at many places in Mango including Bagan Shahi in Azadnagar and Nidhi Tola in North Sarjamda. They said the poor infrastructure threatened to give rise to a major accident some day.

Leading the delegation, the Youth Congress vice president Aruna Mukhi said the department authorities should immediately change the dilapidated electric poles and replace the wires hanging loosely at various places. Mukhi also demanded regular power supply in Mango and other localities.

The GM assured to take up the issues seriously and take necessary actions to fulfill the demands raised by the Youth Congress members.

Among those present during the demonstration included Rakesh Sahu, Vinay John, Pappu Mukhi, Ritesh Ghosal, Hemant Kumar, Rama Shankar Sharma, Rajeev Mishra, Akash Kumar and PK Jha.
