Jamshedpur, Nov. 3: Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Yuva Congress Committee on Thursday burnt effigy of prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sakchi Shaheed Chowk against the arrest of Rahul Gandhi by Delhi Police on Wednesday.
According to reports, Rahul went to meet the family of Ram Kishan Grewal, a former Army jawan, who was protesting over the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme and allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday in national capital.
Later when Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to enter RML hospital in New Delhi he went to meet the kin of ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal and was detained at Mandir Marg police station.
Yuva Congress committee led by its vice-president Rakesh Sahu shouted slogans against the BJP led central government saying that the union government has failed on every front. People of the country and youth congress would never tolerate Narendra Modi’s despotism at any cost.
Condoling the incident which happened against Rahul Gandhi, Rakesh Sahu further said, detaining Rahul Gandhi in such a manner is undemocratic. Modi government should look and work for the people as it has failed to stop the inflation.
