Jamshedpur: A youth, identified as Abhay Kumar Singh, allegedly committed suicide by hanging self to death in Garabasa under Golmuri police station area on Thursday.
Police said the youth took the extreme step in depression after reportedly failing in his attempt to get married to a girl of his choice. The deceased was also addicted to �whitener� and other substances, they said.
The body of the deceased was found hanging from the ceiling of his house in the morning. His father Rameshwar Singh was informed about the incident by his neighbours.
Sources said several youths had beaten up Abhay two days ago in connection with his alleged �love affair�.
