Youth arrested with stolen bike

Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan police arrested a youth with a stolen bike during a vehicle-checking drive near Sini More on Saturday. The youth was identified as Jagannath Tiu.

According to Ranvijay Singh, officer in-charge of Seraikela PS, the accused tried to escape when police officials asked him to stop. Cops chased the accused and caught him with the stolen bike.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed having stolen the bike a few days ago from Chaibasa. The registration number on the bike�s number plate was fake, the accused told cops.

Cops said the accused often steals bikes in West Singhbhum and sells them off to customers at much lower rates.
