Jamshedpur, June 27: The Jamshedpur Chapter of Young Indians (YI) has received three awards in YI’s Eastern Region Council Meeting (ERCM). A total of nine chapters of Eastern India participated in the meeting held at Siliguri.
Out of these, the Jamshedpur chapter was given awards in three different categories. Around 170 people from all the 9 chapters of Eastern India attended the council meeting. Jamshedpur Chapter was awarded for Best Chapter in Eastern India for Climate Change, Best Chapter in Eastern India for Yuva and Best Chapter in Eastern India for Project Masoom.
It may be noted that the Jamshedpur chapter of YI has been working on climate change for a long time for environmental protection. Impressed by the work, the Jamshedpur chapter has been given Eastern India’s Best Award on Climate Change. Along with this, the Jamshedpur chapter of YI, which is continuously campaigning against child sexual abuse, has also received an award for Project Masoom.
Under this campaign, children are made aware through the Jamshedpur chapter, so that they can be vigilant about it. At the same time, the Youth Award has also been given to the Jamshedpur chapter of YI. Under this, YI Jamshedpur Chapter is continuously working by signing MoU with 6 colleges of the city.
