Jamshedpur: The Climate Change Vertical of Young Indians (Yi) Jamshedpur took a significant step toward environmental sustainability with the inauguration of a community pond in Kendudih village of East Singhbhum district.
This initiative aimed to promote water conservation and ecological balance in the rural area. The newly constructed pond was expected to enhance groundwater recharge, improve water availability for local residents and support better management of rainwater during the monsoon season.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Gurvinder Ahuja, CFO of Arush Metal Casting Ltd., as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included K.N. Rao, Ravi Pandey, local community members, and Yi representatives sincluding Climate Change Chair Arush Sabharwal and Co-Chair Anish Murarka.
The project was completed under the leadership of Young Indians Jamshedpur Chairperson Shruti Jhunjhunwala and Co-Chair Bhavin Gandhi. The organization also acknowledged the valuable support of Arush Metal Casting Ltd. in successfully executing the initiative.
This community pond marked the first major project undertaken by Young Indians Jamshedpur this year. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to continuing similar initiatives focused on water conservation and environmental protection in the future, contributing to sustainable development in the region.
