Ranchi, June 21: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said on Tuesday that yoga will be included in the school curriculum of the state and all schools will take a 15-minute class on yoga.
It will boost the children’s physical as well as mental health.
The CM said that one can keep physically fit and mentally healthy through Yoga. He said it while addressing people in Morhabadi ground on International Yoga Day.
Referring to yoga as an integral part of Indian culture, he said that in the fast life of the present world, yoga is a panacea.
He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for getting yoga acknowledged on the world forum.
Stating that yoga is a tool for moral development of people, he said that people performing yoga expand their thought from personal to general. They think about the society.
Yoga will play an important role in keeping the surrounding neat and clean. Hence yoga should be included in routine. He thanked people for conducting yoga at panchayat, block and district level.

Jharkhand Speaker Dinesh Oraon, Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi, Ranchi MP R. T. Choudhary, MLAs Gangotri Kujoor, Ram Kumar Pahan, Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra, CS Rajbala Verma, DGP D. K. Pandey, additional chief secretary, Health, K. Vidyasagar and other principal secretaries and secretaries along with school children were present in the program.
