Jamshedpur, Sep 30: Robbers struck yet again near Burudih Railway Crossing under Sundernagar police station and fled with Rs 4.50 lakh from a businessman. The incident occurred near the police firing range on Sunday morning.
According to the complainant, Kanhaiya Lal Nagelia, a businessman from Bistupur, two bike-borne goons, carrying guns, snatched a bag containing Rs 4.50 lakhs from him and his business friend, Umesh Agrawal. They were returning from Haldipokhar after collections from other businessmen in his car.
The complainant confirmed that two men suddenly appeared from the opposite side near Burudih Railway Crossing.
According to him, one of the men pulled out his gun and fired six rounds on his car. Umesh Agrawal had a narrow escape when he got injured due to the shattering of the windshield and snatched the bag containing the money.
Kanhaiya Lal claimed that the robbers had covered their faces with a cloth, even threatened him with the gun. And, the other robber forced the door open and snatched the bag.
On information, Rural SP Devendra Thakur, Dy SP (Law and Order) Kanhaiya Upadhyay along with Parsudih and Sundernagar police OC reached the spot and investigated the case. A complaint has been lodged at Sundernagar police station.
Rural SP claims that both the snatchers have been identified and they shall be arrested soon.
