St John’s High School student conducts AI workshop for youth in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: In an initiative aimed at empowering youth with emerging technologies, Yashwardhan Sharma, a 17-year-old student of St John’s High School, conducted an Artificial Intelligence (AI) awareness and training workshop in Jamshedpur.

The workshop witnessed participation from over 70 students, who were introduced to the fundamentals of AI, its real-world applications, future career opportunities, and the importance of responsible usage of technology. The session focused on simplifying AI concepts and helping students understand how AI is already impacting education, business, governance, and everyday life.

Despite his young age, Yashwardhan Sharma has already developed AI-based applications and is actively working to make advanced technology accessible to students from diverse backgrounds. During the workshop, he emphasized that AI is a tool to enhance human potential, not replace it, and encouraged students to use it creatively and ethically.

Speaking on the occasion, Yashwardhan said that the future will be defined by technology, and early exposure will help youth stay prepared for future challenges. He also highlighted the risks associated with misuse of AI and stressed the need for awareness and digital responsibility.

Participants expressed keen interest and appreciation for the initiative, stating that the session helped them gain clarity about AI and its relevance in their academic and professional journeys.
