Jamshedpur: XLRI – Xavier School of Management on Monday wrapped up the third edition of the XLRI–Fr. Enright Memorial Cricket Tournament (X-FECT 2026) at the XLRI Grounds, bringing weeks of competitive cricket, community participation, and social outreach to a close under the theme “Play for a Cause.”
The tournament saw wide participation from students, faculty, staff, alumni, campus associates, and well-wishers, reflecting XLRI’s emphasis on inclusiveness, teamwork, and service through sport.
Women’s Tournament Highlights
The women’s final featured an engaging contest between Loyola Alumni Association and XL Strikers, with XL Strikers securing the title by 30 runs.
Sandhya Singh was named Player of the Match for her standout all-round display, scoring 45 runs off 25 balls and claiming one wicket while conceding 18 runs in two overs.
In the third-place match, XL Gliders defeated XL Stunners by 19 runs, ending their campaign on a positive note.
Men’s Tournament Highlights
In the men’s third-place playoff, Loyola Alumni Association registered a four-wicket win over XLRI BM-HR, showing composure in a closely contested match.
The men’s final was played between JDCA (Jamshedpur Dental Cricket Association) and Vintage Warriors (DTDC), where JDCA edged past their opponents by eight runs. Dr. Vivek was adjudged Man of the Match after scoring 97 not out and delivering a disciplined bowling spell.

Sport with a Social Purpose
X-FECT 2026 featured 12 men’s teams and four women’s teams, involving over 240 amateur players, and drew an estimated footfall exceeding 5,000 spectators across match days. Organisers said funds raised during the tournament will be directed toward charitable initiatives, reinforcing XLRI’s commitment to community welfare.
