Jamshedpur: XLRI – Xavier School of Management launched its academic session for the 2026–28 batch with 441 students representing varied educational, professional, and cultural backgrounds. The incoming students attended an Induction Ceremony at the Tata Auditorium on campus.

Leadership Built on Values
The induction programme introduced the students to XLRI’s deep-rooted values and rigorous academic culture. Welcoming the students and their parents, Dr. (Fr.) Sebastian George, SJ, Director of XLRI, urged the gathering to approach the management journey with curiosity, compassion, and a spirit of collaboration.
“True leadership is built on trust, empathy, and collective growth,” Fr. George emphasized. He noted that human progress relies on the ability to cooperate and work toward shared goals, challenging the students to become values-driven leaders who uphold XLRI’s legacy.
Embracing the Spirit of ‘Magis’
Dr. Sanjay Patro, Dean Academics, described the induction as a milestone marking the beginning of grand aspirations. He challenged the new batch to adopt the Jesuit principle of “magis”—a philosophy that inspires individuals to continually strive for greater excellence and dedicated service to others.
