Jamshedpur , Feb. 4 : B-school XLRI is all set to play host Oikos Asia Meet from February 9. It is an annual event organised by the Asian chapters of Oikos International. Oikos International is an international student-driven organisation based in Switzerland for sustainability in economics and management. This year Oikos� Jamshedpur chapter at XLRI will conduct the Asia meet from February 9 to 11. The event is to be held at the XLRI campus.
� In today�s fast-changing landscape with ever-impending social, economic and environmental disasters, this meet will try to provide a platform for individuals and organizations to cultivate a sustainable mind-set in order to bring forth a new age of leaders dedicated towards symbiotic growth in all spheres,� said an official.
He added that the belief behind the program is that sharing of ideas across the globe is critical to this sustainable future. With this in mind, the theme for the meet is �Empowering Our Roots�. The discourse will focus upon the following broad areas: Sharing of international best practices for developing a sustainable environment, Leveraging said practices to suit context-driven needs Conceptualization of projects based on the learnings imbibed.
The three-day event will be geared towards ensuring that every stakeholder involved assimilates and carries forward true belief in �Empowering Our Roots� for a sustainable future.
Participants will attend this event from different chapters of Oikos within and outside India. There would be interactive sessions making the event an ideal platform for exchange of ideas, problems and their solutions among the speakers and the participants.
